SIGN UP FOR THE NEXT PHOTO-WALK WORKSHOP!

  • Tokyo: July 25-26

  • ¥25,000 or $150 per person

This is an exclusive 2 day photo-walk and workshop where we will help you advance your documentary/street photography skills. The goal is to help you build your artistic voice and have fun! Photographers of any skill level are welcome but you must bring your own digital camera. Please expect to walk around a lot and have homework after each day! By signing up, you agree to have at least one of your photos published on our Facebook (and social media such as Instagram).

  • Day 1 we will meet in the morning at 10am and finish by 4pm. We will have a lunch break together for 1 hour. Day 1 is focused on capturing images during the day and using natural light.

  • Day 2 we will meet at 3pm and finish by 10pm. We will have a dinner break together for 1 hour. Day 2 is focused on capturing images during the late afternoon/sunset and night time.

About your host:

Benjamin Michel is an American filmmaker and photographer with over 20 years of experience. He has exhibited his work in the US and Japan along with being published in the New York Times. He’s hosted workshops at Temple University Japan and English Language Film School Japan. He is also a member of the Japanese Society of Cinematographers (JSC). Benjamin is passionate about image making and using the camera as a tool to tell stories. He is currently based in Tokyo, Japan and has a unique international perspective. With each workshop he hopes to inspire and help cultivate artists to create their best work.

Please read the following carefully:

*Depending on the weather the hours may vary for the workshop. A full itinerary will be sent out at least 3 days before the workshop date.

*The workshop will be conducted in English.

*Workshop fee is non-refundable. Payment is due upfront (either prior to attending or when we meet). Payment details will be shared after email confirmation of attendance. You may cancel up to 1 week BEFORE the workshop by email notification. If cancellation is made within 1 week there will be a 50% cancellation charge.

*If you show up for only 1 of the 2 days of the workshop you are still required to pay the full workshop fee.

*Food and drinks are not included in the workshop fee.

*In the event that we the organizer cancel the full workshop for some unforeseen reason such as unsuitable weather, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or have the fee carry over to the next workshop dates.

Space is limited and we can only accommodate 6 people so sign up early before all seats are gone!
